Facing a huge giant?

We’ve been facing some big “giant” problems at work. Praise the Lord I work with a few Godly men and women who aren’t afraid to pray about our situation. I went to the bible and looked for a passage on a battle that took place thousands of years ago. I knew the Lord would give me some great words of guidance. The battle story was about David and Goliath.

King Saul and the Israelites were easily discouraged by what Goliath said and by his physical appearance. (I was getting discouraged and was looking at my “battle” at work in the natural) David was on the outside looking in at the conflict and saw the battle through eyes that saw God’s past faithfulness in his own life. (Can I remember God’s faithfulness in my past trials?) David knew he could rely on God to win the battle.

He picked up 5 smooth stones (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience and Kindness). These are “key-stones” to speak into the situation because they are always what God wants to accomplish for His glory. David took the stones and stepped forward quickly. (Don’t hesitate but equip yourself with the mind of God for the situation, then step in and pray without fear). Then David gave God the glory for his victory. We too can always give God the glory for our victories. He is truly wonderful and faithful to the end.
